Hub Summer Timeline

BPS Students and Guardians,

At this time, the Hub is displaying 19-20 school year information for students.  2020-21 school year information will become available later in the summer.

Please check back in mid-August for transportation, lunch PIN, student passwords, teacher, schedule and locker information. School staff will be working throughout August to finalize information for our students, so please plan to check back throughout the month for the most updated information.

David Palmer

I am a father to three daughters (13, 10, 8), a husband to a college professor and grew up myself in Bloomington. I still have family that lives in Bloomington and take pride in being part of this community once again. I enjoy woodworking, engineering and traveled to Europe this summer for two weeks with my family. During the summer and fall, we also enjoy spending time together in northern Minnesota.

My goal is to send a weekly communication on Friday via email. Due to family commitments, I generally send group emails late at night once my kids are in bed and I can focus on work. I am hoping to be able to send weekly summary emails earlier on Friday so you can talk over dinner about the week. Please reach out to me if your student is having a difficult time academically, socially or just a rough patch in life. I would also love to hear feedback from when you talk and what parts of the day they are enjoying. I am there to support your family in whatever way possible.

EMAIL/PHONE (preferred):

Direct communication with me is preferred via email ( or via school phone (Before and after school: 952-806-7235). I will respond to emails prior during scheduled school days before 9am and after 3:45pm up to approximately 6:30pm. During school hours, please contact the main office at 952-806-7200 to reach me or a student. Due to the business of the day, I will not answer direct outside phone calls during the school day and may not have time to read/respond to emails.

I will also be utilizing SeeSaw ( within the classroom to assign in and out of class assignments, share completed work and to communicate within the system. I have used this in the past and found it to be a great way to observe individual student work and communicate with everyone.

For daily reminders or if you need to “text” me a message, I use the Remind app. It is a free application and allows me to send out group texts in which you can respond directly to them if desired. To join using the Remind app, text @mrpalmers4 to the number 81010. The computer link to join our community page is Please include your name when texting me through Remind.

I look forward to working with you and watching your child grow during their fourth grade year!

Best wishes,

Mr. Palmer
